Making breakfast the other morning I was delighted to hear this discussion about Iso Rae ABC: The Art Show with Daniel Browning; Finding Australia's lost impressionist, and the beauty in gumnuts

Iso Rae is an artist I started researching 40 years ago when John and Edward Barkes bought a Folio of her First World War pastels drawn at Etaples.  You can read here the article I wrote a short time later. It was published in Antiques and Art in 1989;   A Woman's Forgotten War

2025 update.  I have recently bought the last few pastels from the original folio and will exhibit them later in the year.  This terrific pastel of the 4th Cameron Highlanders arrived in Etaples, from the Front in February, 1916, was one of them.
