John Glover and the Colonial Picturesque
Published by the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and Art Exhibitions Australia. This beautifully illustrated, hardcover book accompanied the John Glover exhibition held at the Art Gallery of South Australia in 2004.
The book has been painstakingly researched by David Hansen and covers Glover's paintings, watercolours, drawings and sketches of Regency Britain and colonial Tasmania, including some of the earliest oil paintings of the Australian landscape.
The book is over 300 pages, contains beautiful illustrations and includes a list of Glover's paintings in the public galleries around the world.
