Ivasenko was born in Dubovka, Stalingrad region in 1936. He studied at Leningrad Intermediate Art School from 1949 and the Repin Academy, St. Petersburg from 1956-62. In 1963, he began exhibiting in St Petersburg. He is best known as a graphic artist
