Guelda Pyke (1905-1994) travelled to Bali with Yvonne Cohen for 3 weeks in June 1954. Through introductions they based themselves at the Palace of a local ruler, Chorkorda Agung in Ubud. He was also local patron of artists. It was her second trip to Bali. Guelda Pyke had studied at the George Bell School and is well known for her terrific collection of Ian Fairweather paintings. His influence is recognisable in her work and subjects
