The Gate 2016

Acrylic on Farriano paper
53.5 x 74.5 cm
Signed, titled and dated

A larger version of “The Gate and Gardener”. I really enjoyed working through this painting. The fences I had seen in the UK (Streatham and Brixton) in 1979. The European forest is also influenced by my time overseas. The cacti – may be a contrast. This is my way of putting harsher flora into the setting.
