Settling in Sydney after 6 years in Auckland, Shay felt the need to reoriente herself. This drawing (followed by Landfall, an 87 x 340 cm panoramic painting of the entrance to Sydney Harbour) looks westwards from The Harbour Bridge Footpath.
To the right is Lavender Bay residence and theme source for many of Brett Whiteley's paintings, the Harry Seidler tower on McMahon's Point. To the left the finger docks fortunately saved from destruction and now used for theatre dance, business and apartment purposes.
