Oil on paper Born in St Petersburg. In 1939, aged 11 yrs, he entered the art school attached to the Repin Academy and remained there until 1942. After the war, in 1947, he was accepted into the Repin Academy where he studied under Professor Boris Ioganson, the best known artist in Russia at that time. He was elected to the St. Petersburg Artists' Union in 1955. He is best known for his impressionistic landscapes and beach scenes. Important shows include 'Soviet Russia', Moscow 1960
