Two large watercolours of Seabirds by Hanson were exhibited at the RAS of NSW in 1894 and 1895. The Seabirds' Cry - the Music of the Sea, in 1894 and And all was Silence save the Seabirds' Cry in 1895. Each was priced at £52. The Seabirds' Cry - the Music of the Sea was also exhibited at the Royal Academy, London in 1894.
This would be a preliminary work for them.
