Harald Sallberg studied at the Technical School in Stockholm and was employed in 1912 at the Academy of Fine Arts' Etching School as a technical assistant and in 1930 as an assistant. He was a teacher of graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1935, its director 1955-1959 and professor from 1954.
Sallberg is known for his objectively reproduced etchings of Stockholm views, portraits, landscapes and images from London .
