Houses Under the Bridge 2014
Acrylic on paper The idea for this series of paintings was of course the West Gate Bridge. The areas around Spotswood, Yarraville and Seddon are full of traditional Victorian/Edwardian houses - mainly weatherboard. The table cloth came from a market stall and the intricate pattern contrasts against the structural lines of the houses and the Bridge.
