Provenance: John Barkes, London, bought from the artist in the artist's studio, Krasnoyarsk, Siberia
The nickel is brought from Norilsk, above the Arctic Circle, by train to the port at Dudinka where it is transported down the Yenisei River to Murmansk. This transportation takes place only during the summer.
