Balga and Garnanganyja 2009
Acrylic on canvas
83.5 x 83.5 cm
“The balga (barramundi) come in flood time, in dry season they go back to main waterhole. In good wet season we get lots of big balgas. They change colour in different time. The garnanganyja (emu) come in wet and dry season looking for bush tucker. They look for same bush tucker we do, like girndi (bush plums) goolibi (bush banana) and goordida (bush oranges) The different seasons are represented by two different colours.”
