Vasili Kucherovski

Vasili Kucherovski moved to Leningrad when he was four and was evacuated prior to the Siege of Leningrad in which his father, a soldier in the Red Army, was killed. After studying graphic design, Kucherovski taught drawing in high schools until completing his postgraduate studies at the Repin Institute in 1961. He was elected membership of the Artists' Union in 1963. A retrospective exhibition was held at the Mukina School of Art and Design in Leningrad in 1981
