Nada Hunter FVAS, MSWPS was born at Donald, Victoria. She undertook mostly informal art studies, including with Jack Carrington Smith in Tasmania, and the Academie Julien and La Grande Chaumiere Atelier Libre in Paris, where she attended a studio every morning (“The instruction was negligible but the frenetic art activity in the city in general is such that one absorbs a great deal by osmosis.”) From 1952, she was a regular exhibitor with the Victorian Artists' Society. She was a member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. Solo exhibitions included Latrobe University Staff Club, 1975; Bridget McDonnell Gallery, Hampton 2008. She is represented in the Shepparton Art Gallery and Portland Collection
