Born in the Ukraine, studied at the Art College in Kharkov 1953-54 and1957-60. 1960-66 he studied at the Repin Institute, Leningrad. Elected to the Artists' Union in1970. He has held one man shows in Russia, the Ukraine and Germany. Zaporozhets is one of the most successful artists of his generation
