Alexander McClintock (1869-1922) was a well-known Melbourne artist.
He was born in County Mayo, Ireland, and came to Australia in 1888. He studied under John Mather and was a successful watercolourist. He was the first hon. Treasurer of the Australian Art Association, and held the position at the time of his untimely death at the age of 52. He was survived by a widow, three daughters, and a son (Rembrandt). He lived at Woodside crescent, Toorak.
