This exhibition includes collectors' works by important Australian artists including John Brack; currently the subject of a terrific exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria; Sidney Nolan: the feature painting has come from a private collection in Sweden, the two Asian landscapes are from his series on China, painted in the 1960s, and come from a Spanish collection; Francis Lymburner is represented by 5 great drawings of actors, dancers and lovers from the collection of a great enthusiast who bought his first Lymburner from us in 1987. A fine painting by Clifton Pugh was bought from the Rudy Komon Gallery in Sydney in the early seventies and has been in a prominent private collection since. The exhibition is full of carefully chosen, attractive works.
