Over the last 27 years we have had 32 exhibitions of Modern Australian Paintings. They have always included works by William Dobell, Sidney Nolan, Francis Lymburner and often Charles Blackman, George Lawrence and Danila Vassilieff. They are all included in this exhibition. Some are works we previously sold and are delighted to have back again.(Lymburner Showgirl and Lovers) We also include works we consider good value even if they are by lesser known artists like the striking paintings by Eric Stewart, a self taught artist who was plagued by ill-health and had a consuming passion for indigenous culture; or the London painting by Rachel Roxburgh.
